Acoustic Pickguard Cherry Blossoms (Ebony Look PVC)

Dress up your guitar with a touch of poetry!

This pickguard adorned with cherry blossoms brings a zen and refined spirit to your instrument, while ensuring its main role: absorbing pick attacks instead of your varnish.

No more basic and soulless protective plates, make way for a design that catches the eye and instantly personalizes your folk guitar.

Let’s clarify things right away regarding materials: forget misleading appellations talking about solid wood. We are here dealing with a high-quality PVC with an “ebony look” finish. This technical choice is essential: it perfectly imitates the dark wood grain and the petal inlay, while maintaining remarkable thinness and flexibility. A real block of wood would dampen your instrument’s resonance, whereas this plate is acoustically forgotten.

Installation is child’s play thanks to its powerful yet varnish-friendly adhesive backing. In just a few minutes, you transform the look of your guitar. A durable, easy-to-install, and frankly elegant protection to enhance your chords without breaking the bank.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this real ebony wood with mother-of-pearl inlays?

A: No, and this is intentional. For reasons of flexibility, thickness, and cost, it is a high-quality printed PVC. The pattern visually simulates the ebony grain and pearlescent reflections. This allows it to perfectly conform to the curvature of the soundboard without dampening the vibration of your guitar’s wood.

Q: Will the floral pattern fade over time and with pick strikes?

A: The print is covered by an integrated transparent protective layer. Unless you exclusively play by attacking the pickguard with a coin or a metal pick, the design will perfectly withstand your daily playing, whether you are a vigorous strumming enthusiast or a flatpicker.

Q: Does this pickguard fit a classical guitar or a small ukulele?

A: The curvature (the radius of the inner cut-out) is calibrated for the rosette contour of standard folk guitars. This pickguard will be much too large for a ukulele and is not suitable for the geometry of a classical guitar (which traditionally uses transparent golpeadores if playing flamenco).

Q: Will the adhesive damage my guitar if I decide to remove it later?

A: The adhesive is designed for musical instruments. If you wish to change styles one day, you will only need to very slightly heat the pickguard with a hairdryer (on low heat and at a good distance) to soften the glue. Then pull very gently. A small amount of guitar polish will remove any remaining residue without damaging your varnish.
