“Imperial Arabesques” Jacquard Guitar Strap: A Retro Classic
Some patterns never go out of style. The arabesques on this strap evoke ancient tapestries and the jacquard straps that guitarists of the 60s and 70s proudly wore.
Deep black, golden flowers, cream background: a sober trio that enhances both a natural wood acoustic and a vibrant red electric guitar.
Jacquard weaving makes all the difference. The design is formed by the threads themselves, with a slight relief under the fingers. No cracking ink, no fading pattern after a few months of playing.
The finishes follow the same logic. Both ends are reinforced with dark brown leather tips with a distressed look, secured by rivets and bronze-colored metal rings. The slotted buttonhole easily fits over the strap button, and the matching sliding buckle adjusts the length in seconds.
With its 5 cm width and a length of 80 to 135 cm, it is suitable for wearing at hip height or a little lower. The included black lace allows it to be attached to the headstock of an acoustic guitar without a heel button.

Q : Le motif est-il imprimé ou tissé ? R : Tissé. C’est un jacquard : le dessin est formé par les fils eux-mêmes pendant le tissage, ce qui se voit et se sent au léger relief. Contrairement à une impression, il ne s’efface pas au frottement.
Q : Les embouts vont-ils tenir dans le temps ? R : Les embouts en cuir sont fixés à la sangle par des rivets métalliques, pas seulement cousus. Au début, la boutonnière peut sembler un peu ferme sur le bouton de sangle : c’est normal, le cuir se détend à l’usage.
Q : Puis-je l’utiliser sur une guitare acoustique sans bouton au manche ? R : Oui, c’est le rôle du lacet fourni. Passez-le sous les cordes, juste derrière le sillet de tête, et nouez-le à l’embout de la sangle. L’autre extrémité se fixe sur le bouton situé à la base de la caisse.
Q : Comment entretenir la sangle ? R : Pour le jacquard, un chiffon légèrement humide et un savon doux, en tamponnant sans frotter fort. Évitez la machine à laver, qui abîmerait le cuir. Sur les embouts, une noisette de baume pour cuir de temps en temps les garde souples.
