Q : Le taureau est-il en véritable laiton massif ?
R : Non, et c’est volontaire. Pour éviter de peser un poids déraisonnable sur vos murs (surtout sur du Placo), le corps est fabriqué en plastique ABS d’ingénierie extrêmement solide. Le revêtement doré poli miroir lui donne cet aspect métallique premium très convaincant sans les inconvénients du métal plein.
Q : Ce support est-il assez solide pour supporter une lourde basse ?
R : L’ABS rigide et la plaque d’ancrage métallique offrent une excellente résistance à l’arrachement. Cependant, il est conçu prioritairement pour les guitares et les basses de poids standard. La solidité finale dépendra avant tout de votre mur : veillez à utiliser des chevilles parfaitement adaptées à votre type de cloison (Placo, brique pleine, béton).
Q : Le revêtement souple des cornes risque-t-il d’attaquer les vernis nitrocellulosiques ?
R : Le TPR utilisé est un élastomère beaucoup plus stable et sûr que le caoutchouc bas de gamme. Toutefois, comme avec l’écrasante majorité des stands du marché, nous recommandons toujours une vigilance particulière avec les vernis nitro très fragiles (type Gibson traditionnelles) lors de périodes d’exposition prolongées.
Q : Comment fonctionne le système de fixation au mur ?
R : C’est un système en deux temps très sécurisant. Vous fixez d’abord la petite plaque métallique carrée au mur (en respectant la flèche “UP” pointant vers le haut) à l’aide des trois vis fournies. Ensuite, il vous suffit de venir glisser la fente arrière de la tête de taureau sur le plot de verrouillage de la plaque.
