Q : S’agit-il d’un bloc de bois massif taillé dans la masse ?
R : Non. Pour obtenir cette courbe harmonieuse tout en assurant une excellente résistance à la tension (le bois massif courbé pourrait fendre avec le poids), le support est fabriqué en contreplaqué moulé sous pression. Il est ensuite recouvert d’un magnifique placage aspect noyer qui lui donne tout son cachet.
Q : La fixation avec la colle fournie est-elle vraiment fiable et sans danger pour mon instrument ?
R : La colle incluse est un adhésif industriel extrêmement puissant, parfait pour un ukulélé ou si vous devez fixer le support sur du carrelage ou du verre. Toutefois, pour un instrument lourd comme une guitare électrique ou une basse, nous vous recommandons vivement d’utiliser les vis et chevilles d’expansion (également fournies) pour garantir la capacité de charge maximale de 10 kg en toute sécurité.
Q : L’écartement du crochet convient-il pour une guitare classique au manche souvent très large ?
R : Si vous sélectionnez la déclinaison “Guitare” (ouverture de 4,5 cm), le support accueillera la grande majorité des manches sans forcer, y compris ceux des guitares classiques. Le format “Ukulélé” (ouverture de 4 cm) est quant à lui strictement réservé aux petits instruments.
Q : La mousse de protection noire risque-t-elle de faire fondre ou d’abîmer le vernis de ma guitare au fil du temps ?
R : La mousse employée est conçue pour être inerte avec les vernis modernes (polyuréthane, polyester). Néanmoins, comme c’est la règle d’or avec absolument tous les stands du marché, si vous possédez une guitare vintage ou haut de gamme recouverte d’un vernis nitrocellulosique très sensible, nous conseillons toujours d’intercaler un petit chiffon en coton entre le manche et la mousse par simple précaution.
