Q: Is it a solid block of wood carved from a single piece?
A: No. To achieve this harmonious curve while ensuring excellent tension resistance (solid curved wood could split under weight), the mount is made of pressure-molded plywood. It is then covered with a magnificent walnut-look veneer that gives it all its character.
Q: Is the fastening with the provided glue really reliable and safe for my instrument?
A: The included glue is an extremely powerful industrial adhesive, perfect for a ukulele or if you need to attach the mount to tile or glass. However, for a heavy instrument like an electric guitar or bass, we strongly recommend using the screws and expansion anchors (also provided) to ensure the maximum load capacity of 10 kg safely.
Q: Is the hook’s spacing suitable for a classical guitar, which often has a very wide neck?
A: If you select the “Guitar” variation (4.5 cm opening), the mount will accommodate the vast majority of necks without forcing, including those of classical guitars. The “Ukulele” size (4 cm opening) is strictly reserved for smaller instruments.
Q: Is the black protective foam likely to melt or damage my guitar’s finish over time?
A: The foam used is designed to be inert with modern finishes (polyurethane, polyester). Nevertheless, as is the golden rule with absolutely all stands on the market, if you own a vintage or high-end guitar covered with a very sensitive nitrocellulose finish, we always advise placing a small cotton cloth between the neck and the foam as a simple precaution.
