« Mallard » Ukulele Strap: A Color with Character
It owes its name to the mallard, that duck whose head shines with a deep green. Duck green has that rare talent of being both discreet and remarkable. Neither quite green nor quite blue, it gives this plain strap a real personality, without pattern or fancy. Placed on a spruce or mahogany ukulele, it creates a very elegant warm and cold contrast.
No need for a pattern when the color is enough to tell a story.
Tightly Woven Nylon
The strap is made of woven nylon, with a fine and regular mesh. This tight weave makes it resistant to friction and wear, while remaining flexible and comfortable on the shoulder. Its plain shade is the same throughout its length.
Matching Black Ends
At both ends, black faux leather tips, tone-on-tone topstitched, extend the harmony of cool colors. Their slotted buttonholes easily slip onto strap buttons. The black adjustment buckle remains discreet and holds the adjustment well.
Well-Sized for a Ukulele
With its 3.8 cm width and adjustable length from 75 to 120 cm, it is suitable for soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone ukuleles. Lightweight, it is forgotten during play, for both children and adults. However, it is too short for most guitars.
The Cord for Ukuleles with One Button
Most ukuleles only have one strap button, at the bottom of the body. The supplied cord is tied around the instrument’s headstock, under the strings and behind the nut, to attach the second end of the strap. No drilling is necessary.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What color is the strap exactly?
A: A deep duck green, halfway between forest green and petrol blue. The faux leather ends are black and the adjustment buckle is black.
Q: What material is it made of?
A: The strap is made of tightly woven nylon, solid and flexible. The ends are made of topstitched faux leather.
Q: Is it compatible with my ukulele?
A: Yes, it is suitable for soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone ukuleles. Adjustable from 75 to 120 cm, it is however too short for most guitars.
Q: My ukulele only has one strap button, what should I do?
A: A cord is provided. Attach one end of the strap to the button at the bottom of the body, tie the cord around the ukulele’s headstock, under the strings and behind the nut, then attach the other end of the strap to it.
Q: Can I play standing with it?
A: Yes. Adjusted to around 120 cm, it allows you to play standing with the ukulele at chest height. Shorter, it stabilizes the instrument when you play seated.
Q: How do I care for the strap?
A: A slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap are sufficient. Avoid the washing machine, which would damage the ends, and let it dry flat, away from a heat source.
Q: Is it a good gift idea?
A: Yes. Its original but easy-to-wear color appeals to all ages, and it goes with most ukuleles. A useful, low-cost gift, for a beginner as well as for an experienced player.
